Business Ideas

Good business ideas - ideas that solve actual problems - are sometimes difficult to come up with if you're not experiencing the problem yourself.

There are two services I've found that help come up with these ideas: Opps Daily and Nugget. Both send out daily emails with a real business problem from someone experiencing it:

We ask people about the problems they face at work, and the software that could solve those problems. Then, we send you their answers. Every. Day.

Here's an example:

I am a Financial Advisor in the Financial services industry.

One problem I have is finding / prospecting for new clients.

It would be useful to have an online application for people looking for a new financial advisor in their area. The website / software would pair local advisors with local clients.

I would absolutely pay for this as my clients can be very valuable. I think $50-$100 a month subscription would be worth it.

$50-$100 a month!!! For matching people that want financial advice with people who can give it! That's like, a super simple version of twitter.

At $100/month, you only need about 17 customers to have a reasonable amount of money to never need to work again.

Maybe that idea doesn't appeal to you, though, and maybe one new idea a day is too slow.

So here's a giant list I've been secretly logging over the last few months with every idea they've emailed out.

Challenge

Find your favorite idea from the giant list of ideas and tell me how you would solve it, how much you would charge, and how many customers you would need to cover your business and personal expenses to have enough money.
